Time off

sat for my paper 1 and paper2 on tues and wed, i passed. yeh!!! and now, i gotta pack. so will be having a time off starting from tomorrow. hope its gonna be a fun trip though i still have my interview to think about. but i guess i deserve a vacation first. hear from me soon, in about a week or so. and certainly i will miss my tv. and when i come back, back to class and another mock exam. oh gosh, i should stop thinking too far and just enjoy this moment.

about yesterdays post...well, yea, feeling of regret!!! most of us regretted for the things we have done. but i bet everyone of you has ever tot back and also regret for the things that you din do rite? nothing more i can say....

oh ya, announcement, i decided to use my old blog as a secondary blog, you know where i post other stuff, rojak stuff. so when there's an update on that blog, i will let you know. hint hint, the first one is gonna be my pt of view on the malaysian entertainment industry!! check it out....soon!

special = istimewa??

as i listen to THE song, i just wonder.....why am i so stupid last time? why am i so blind at that time? why am i like sooooo lurus bendul at that point of time? oh goodness, it just sucks to remember wat i have missed, the opportunity given, the chance right in front of me....thinking back, feeling of regret is the only thing i can feel. geram too. wat to do, no one to blame except for my own self. i deserve it. my own fault, my mistake. things are different just because of the past. nothing i can do, but be more observant in the future, treat the past as a lesson, well, tat is if there is another time again.

NO mood

i feel so not in the mood to do anything. i guess its the lazy mood. in less than 24 hours, i will be sitting for my paper1 exam and 48 hours, my paper2. and i haven finished my preparation. my room is in a mess. my closet is in a mess. my dressing table is in a mess. and last but not least, my living room is in a mess, messy because of my accounts books. well, i dun actually have a study table, so i basically study in my living room where there is my tv and anyone who knows me well would know i cant study without tv, except for last year in kl, which was an exceptional case. i gotta study, do exercises, clear my room but i just dun feel like doing anything, except watch tv, series, and af. oh goodness, this is soooo not good. and i wanna sleep too!!! cos last nite, i din get much sleep, why, i think its because of the really kau tea i drank, for 3 cups, to detoxify my body, you know too heaty, and my tummy wasnt feeling well since sat nite, after having jap, mite be because of the raw squid i had. watched heroes non-stop, playing spider solitaire, and see now, i cant even complete any sets. it must a bad time for me to do anything.

but, if not now, when??? it will be too late if i dun do some things now. like my exams, my life. we regret for not doing some things in the past, just like me on one person. watever you do now actually determines wat you do in the near future. we always say, we need time, time to finish this, time to imrpove, time to relax and have fun. time to calm down. time to stand up. all we need is time as our life revolves around time.

oh boy, i dun even now wat i am talking. dun bother about my sieness feeling, my mind is not at the rite state. my mind is actually filled with memories of some people, which of course, comes the feeling of regret. certainly my mood now blogging is unlike my previous post. now i am uncertain to do anything. oh, i should stop. gotta give my face a big slap and wake up. as i have said, if not now, when? and thats why in life, when the time comes, its now. and so here comes now.

ignore this post everyone....as you can see, i dun even know wat i am writing about. i just wan my sleep, tv, couch, and lotsa series....heroes, greys, af.....and of course, unwillingly, my studies.

HERE COMES NOW!

been a while since i blogged. well, was caught up with some stuff. before i start, sorry edine, for this late reply on your comment bout my ptk trip. din realise you put comments. firstly, just had my first mock exam for cost accounting. it was okay. then my lecturer told me that i wont be sitting for my second mock exam earlier since none of my classmate will be sitting. cos previously i tot my classmate would sitting for it so i say i join him. so looks like now my monday is free, no exam. and i will be sitting for it later than the rest since i am not gonna make it on may 3rd. which leaves only two exams next week, the real final exam for paper 1 and paper 2 on wed and thurs.

i guess the past few days was kinda emotional for chang mei and i. feelings:: anxious, worried, freaking out. but rite now, we are feeling much better. all we know is that HERE COMES NOW! (its wat we have been waiting for)

before i get on to that, wed.....last wed, well, just two days, we went to watch movie. yup, another day out., nite out, since i had full day class, not to mention exams in the morning. amy lai is back. bernie wanted to watch sunshine and so we did. dinner at pizza hut, chang, bernie and i tried the new twist and wrap combo, which we concluded, taste rather weird....normal ones are much better. but its gonna be ages till we step back to that shop. then at 9pm, watched sunshine joined by amy and steve. hows the movie?? well, beginning was kinda boring, gets a lil bit too technical when explaining. but when ppl start to die, the flow of the movie starts. the end, predictable. mind you, the guy sitting next to steve, fell asleep!!

today, friday, out again. us trio, wen for lunch at toms and guess what, secret recipe has open today!!!! much to our surprise cos we tot it will be open in may. so the purpose of going out today was supposedly to get some 'sunshine', as we were down, purpose to have fun and cheer both us girls up. but in the end, todays outing was a moment of fun, enjoy and just relax before we face the hard days. toms lunch was fine, me having lemongrass chix, reminded me of asia's one, chang had fish and chips while bernie had i forgot wats it called. after that, walked around town to find our designated stuff in mind but hopeless. then tea, desert at secret recipe. boy, the prices are lower than the ones in kl. cakes, brownies, food and beverage!! and that wraps up today cos for the next few weeks, we will be busy.

so, shortlisted applicants for nus were notified around this time. by saying this, i guess you guys know wat chang and i are busy about. lotsa ups and downs. not to mention, nearly giving up. but in the end, we got called for it. long story and i dun wanna bore you guys here. so i will just skip that part unless you really wanna know then ask me.

in short, for me, now, plans and plans, next week exams, then enjoy a while, and HERE COMES NOW!!! (interview) emotions: happy, excited at the same time, anxious and worried!! whoever knows me know my last emotion well!

the SIMPLE or COMPLICATED life

the past few days have been, not good, i would say....ended since last week, and starting this week was bad astro signal. when that was done, i had a very bad dream of sth very important to me. and now, today, i just found that i have 4 tests coming up in the next two weeks. well, two cbe exams on the 25 and 26th april was my choice. but next wed and following monday, am having two mock exams. well, guess that kinda fills up my april month. not to mention, chang mei and i are praying real hard for a good news-letter in our letter box. and may??? well, its gonna be a hell of a month i predict, either good or bad, that, will be on a later post.

right now, remember i said how bored i was, and how i tot life was so meaningless and me being useless at this period of time?? and i am not the only one??? well, now with stuff to do, am not that bored, altho it has sth to do with studying. point to make, countless ppl, frens who are in uni now, are telling us, RELAX, and ENJOY, yes, we (cm and i) did eventually resolve to that. but we had one conversation lately. true enough, why bother and worry bout the free time we have? we should enjoy our lives now. but we also agreed that try living, staying at home now, for months doing nothing, i mean not studying, with your parents, mite not be the best case scenario. i mean ok, enjoy life, eat sleep tv fun, relaxation, but with parents who keeps on saying why didn you go study elsewhere, why wait, why stay at home, this and that, kinda makes the simple relaxed life kinda stressful and a complicated one. they see you, everyday, not doing anything productive, lazying around, which just ends the day with a nagging or maybe more than that. sometimes, world war three can happened too. they are annoyed seeing us at home and we are annoyed at them for nagging us. but i guess theres no one to blame, they are our parents, who has the rite to nag their children. they are concern about us. we as children on the other hand are just tyring to enjoy the simple life, having popcorn at the couch, basically just enjoying the home sweet home feeling which we may not know when is the next round. so ppl, whoever says enjoy this simple life of ours, take a moment and think of the 'home' scenario. it mite not be a simple life afterall, but ends up complicated when world war three strikes at home

the TRIP

SERIOUSLY???!!!!! is this some kind of a joke!????!!!! gosh, my astro is really killiing me. i tot i woke up early to catch the second hour of amazing race and i switched on the astro to find 'sorry service currenlty not available'. its not freaking raining, neither is it windy, why is there no signal!!! i am sooo pissed off. fine, i tot giving it till 12pm so i can watch csi cos i can still watch the replay for amazing race tonite. and indeed, i just watched csi and antm. so continuing down my tv list today, was af! the replay since i was watching af every alternate 3 seconds which spoils my mood. and GUESS WHAT!!!! services currently not available??? really....seriously....am i being sabotage???? am i the only one having this problem??? all my shows are being wat interupted...eversince astro upgrades it to measat 3. wats the point for me subsrcibing astro which is much more expenisve compared to other cable tv just to find its service unavailable? and wats the point of having a replay of a show if the replay cant be watched by a customer due to a lousy signal????


ok ok gotta calm down, now for my sis, is this post on the trip!!! and also for my frens who always wanted to know hows it like in ptk, indo. helping you out with pix to picture it since telling you mite be hard to get the idea.

on april 1, sunday, my mum and i went back to pontianak, kalimantan barat, indonesia to attend my cousins engagement party. well, she is gonna get married in september and will only hold her marriage party over at australia, so i called this party as a wedding party too. board the plane at 10.20am and reached ptk at 9.50am, of cos, indo time.

by the time we reached the hotel, it was about 10.30am. guess wat, i got to watch my amazing race there, but half way, cos the party was at 12pm. off we went to gajahmada restaurant, valentio's parents partially ownes the place, and makan time. 8 dishes = sharks fin soup, 4 fried dishes comprises with he keng (prawn), hoi cho (crab), butter prawn and squid, stew sea cucumber wth mushroom chix, steamed fish, ginseng chix, marinated duck, kerabu salad, clam with cabbage. dessert was cold longan! din manage to get the pix though, pai seh la.

after the lunch, pix taking time. after that, went back to our hotel, where after a while, my dad went to visit my uncle at the hopsital. my uncle has been admitted about a week ago, remmeber when i was left alone at home??? cos my dad went back and my mum too. so left my mum and i at the hotel, of course, i enjoyed my axn and nap a lil while.

here are some pix i took during the party. din take much though since i too wanted to be in the pix. so sis gotta wait for cousin dian to send to us next week. be patient.....

in the evening, after shower and all, bout 6pm, we all went to visit my uncle since i was back, should pay him a visit rite? lingered around at the hospital, and boy i gotta tell you, things are different there and elsewhere's hospital. about 8pm plus, my aunt came to pick us up at the hospital and had dinner. or should i say supper. we had kway teow, got char kway teow, boon kway teow which means its a lil more wet then char and kway teow soup. all with beef. of course, side dish, plates of satays which were diffferent from asia's or any other satay stalls available here. only thing asia cafe has its uniqueness is its lamb!!! hard to find here. and food wraps up the nite.

on monday, april 2nd, after breakfast, my dad went to the hospital to settle my uncles discharge papers whereas my mum and i went out early to shop for groceries....yup, supermarket was just next to our hotel, so just had to walk. then by 11am plus, my aunt and cousin came over and we went out for lunch and shopping at the ayani hypermart. believe it or not, ptk actually has a few malls and it kinda sucks for kuching not to have one yet. hopefully the spring opens quick. at nite, we went to eat at nelayan restaurant with my aunts family. lets just say that my aunt and us are much closer!!! and this time i did a few pix during dinner.

(above) lunch time, had lontong and pecel with of course, as you can see, kerupuk rakyat. my fav keroppok ever, its kerinting in shape and i just cant find it here in malaysia. the dishes are somewat a lil dif from those here in malaysia in terms of taste and presentation plus style. on the rite, its a pix of my mum, aunt, my cousin and i during dinner at nelayan restaurant.

(below) and here comes some of the food we had, steamed fish in teochew style, fried suid and soft shell crab, tumis kangkung and paku, asam pedas fish and not in the pix, padang crab and botox...hard to find these stuff here.

so on wed, april 3rd, my mum and i came back home first while my dad stays for two more days till my uncle is fully alrite. and so here are some more random pix...some blurry, movin pix were taken when i was in the car on my way to the airport.

in pontianak, there are houses, big houses like these......mostly OKB people, short form of orang kaya baru....and apparently those living in there are MAIDS!!! However......

they gotta tolerate with small roads heading to their houses like this........take a closer look

when building houses, it may look scary, unsafe, like the left pix.....but wat comes out from it, is just like the pix on the rite, Gajahmade restaurant, where the party took place. heres the thing, builing houses in indo, is easy cos you dun need all the approval of qs, op, extension letters and all. you buy a land, build a house, ten year later, add another storey or two.....you just do it with no worries!

talking about creativity, ppl there can produce stuff you never would expected.....these chairs are made from old tyres, trust me its heavy....and it sure will last long

on the roads of pontianak, there are sights of kampungs like these......still using wells for waters and rivers as source of water....

but theres also the modern world. on the left, is the mall i was saying, ayani hypermart, like midvalley that type. and on the rite, its the governors office. note that its actually huge, the area i mean, and the construction and architecture is traditional malay which i find it really interecting as not much of these can be found in malaysia. i would say most buildings of government offices like police, health and museums are structured like that.

people selling newspaper, magazines, even drinks and sorry to say some beggars on the roads too...you know when you stop at the traffic light....

talking about food.....hm.....everytime before we go back kuching, my mum and i would go to the nearby houses located near out hotel to buy traditional kuih-muih...

on the left, its the normal kelupun we can find in malaysia. but the cute thing is, its soooo tiny compared to those sold here. and indeed they also have the one made from potato. the gula melaka inside it is purely gula melaka and not mix with the coconut. when you bite it, the gula melaka will just squirt out filling your mouth with the sweetness

and on the rite, is otak-otak. well, i know malaysia's otak-otak is red in colour because of the spice. but for indonesian otak-otak, theres two types i just found out. one of it is traditional fish made, and boy i tell you , after eating it, your mouth just smells fishy. and on the pix, is otak-otak udang, and this is the first time i have tried it, of course the name says it, theres a whole prawn inserted in the otak-otak, so fresh it smells all prawny. sadly, does allergic cant touch it!

heres two more types of traditional kuih which i dun think can be found here. on the left is putu songkok and on the rite, selabi. Putu Songkok, is normally made of glutinous rice, pulut and covered with coconut plus died fried coconut. when eating, gula melaka is poured over and boy the taste is sweet and salty. concept is like thai;s mango glutinous rice with santan. SELABI, according to my dad is a traditional malay food??? and i dunno wat its made off and how. all i know its lovely. probably made out of tepung beras, poured over with light santan. i can tell eatting two of it can be really filling.

grocery shopping, i always buy tid-bits, i dun think i can get these tid-bits here. silver queen, my dad fav choco ang beng-beng is def MY NO.1 CHOCO. and the kunyit asam and jahe wangi, they are sweets....plus the cigarettes look a like sweet is mint. used to eat it when i was like a lil kid. and on the rite, justea is drink from malaysia. but wat i wanna point out is the choco milk!!! the size of it i mean, its sooo cute, tiny, thats why i put the justea beside it to compare the height. the frisian flag or susu bendera milk choco contains only 110ml if not mistaken and there are sooo many types of milks and tid bits back there. i would say the varities are more in indo than malaysia, as malaysia cares of the health and consumer rites on the food quality. thats why most indo food are delicious because of the taste which may be full of XXTTRAASSS, extra sugar, msg, salt!!

and this is a type of condensed milk, chocolate flavour and sure you cant find it in malaysia. choco flavoured condensed milk.....we buy a lot of this for our avocado juice. not to mention, we also buy back the avocados and make avocado juice ourselves.

i am soooooo pissed now, yes, NOW......its saturday. i already missed one concert and one whole week of its diari and i tot i could enjoy watching the show this week, but noooooo!!! i cant watch konsert akademi fantasia now IN PEACE....yup, i cant. i dunno whether its only me or wat cos it seems like i have a bad signal. it keep on tersekat-sekat, you know, like signal not good, so all i get to watch is 5 seconds of the show, then, black screen, silent, then back again, for a few seconds, then black again. sooo geram, how to watch like that. spoil my mood only.

and i think after posting this, i am gonna go to my room and watch greys again. well, lets just see if i have the patience to watch af finish because my fav contestant hasnt performed yet!!!

so today, was a busy day. busy day making money!!! yes, money, money. well, i guess i am not so money minded type of person and i dun think i can start a business. no interest yet. back to what i wanna say, today, chang mei and i went to merdeka palace at 8 plus to work. yup, thanks to her, i too got to work. work for mastery programme, sth like mentorship/guidance for businesses. and what we did was help around the seminar. how was the job??? dun wanna talk bout it here!!

i have a mock exam next week and i so am not in the mood to study. oh well, i dun wanna study, but anyone who knows me will sure know that i will not not study for exam one.

and so i guess, after complaining here, the astro signal is back on smoothly. finally after 6 people performing, i get a clear smooth line. i have a feeling my fav contestant is the last, which sucks, cos this means i will be staying up to watch it and no more greys for tonite. lazy to watch the replay tomorrow in full cos i have lotsa replay series to catch up. and apparently, last weeks af concert wasnt that good, the performance, and critics were harsh and i missed it. gonna hunt for last weeks show and tonite, everyones trying their best not to get a hot spicy comments (direct translation, pedas punya komen)


ok le, tomorrow the TRIP will be posted. or else, i expect a bee buzzing at my ear all the way from kl. till then!!

and apparently, to those who watches af like me, heliza and aizat did a good job so far, singing torn and a spanish song. brilliant for this week for them. still waiting for ebi, who got called back in after appearing first for a redo, makeover. and dafi, after last week hot comments i heard. and to bad candys voice was rather rough, tough, hard, should soften a lil bit for her song. oh ya, bsb song, as long as you love me was ok sung by farha. at least linda jasmine did a good ob in teaching syawal, dafi and aizat to dance and him too. still waiting for ebi and dafi.

i know i am suppose to blog as soon as i came back from pontianak, indo with few pictures, but sorry sorry, delay a lil bit cos i was caught up with tiredness. am probably guessing, my sis will kill me soon, cos i haven posted the pix yet. was back since tues morning, and lets just say i was just too tired and too lazy to do anything. yup, feeling lazy to do anything, just felt like sleeping.

wed morning i had class and noon again, nap. then watch tv and still feeling lazy. besides, got homework to do. not to mention, wasnt feeling really well, sunburnt, dun ask me how i got it and eye infection. but one exciting thing on wed nite, was SEASON 3 greys! ntv7 is showing it. i just cant believe they are continuing to show greys latest season. altho i have the series already but, am just excited bout it. yup, yup, its still one of my fav series, you know??? ok, then thurs, morning i had class. and when got back, my dad was back too, from ptk, indo. he went for two weeks already to take care of my uncle who was admitted into the hospital, but he is alrite now, discharged. and at noon, zzzzzzz.

friday, which is today, good friday, woke up, and i just like watching greys again!!! and so i did. and by noon, lunch with chang mei and bernie at jade pot. ivan joined us later and we went to bings. of cos, all we did was makan and chat since it has been ages since we met up with ivan. we decided that we have lotsa movies to watch - the reaping, sunshine, spiderman, pirates and harry potter. guess we will be going out and spending malaysian ringgit really often. so guys, chris, lionel, just hang in there! when you come back, it will be your turns. came back home, continue with greys. dinner, watch my series and org some pix, which lends me here now posting.

i just tot of sth, i am sooooo not up-to-date with so many stuff....namely, my studies - having exams soon and am not studying, my tv series - especially with akademi fantasia, i dun even know what songs they are singing this week, my blog - upcoming posts which i have listed but haven posted and my frens - mainly those that i have lose contact with for quite a while. and also my mails - wah, suddenly my inbox is exploding. oh my, i gotta keep all that to a minute for myself. i tot i should be enjoying my life now, but i guess my very free life now does accomodate me with some stuff to do. and chang mei, the one other person who is very free, she has also some work to do, teaching. ivan, on the other hand, well, living each day to his fullest!!! the rest here, STUDYING......
