Matrichie Resevoir Park & Steamboat National Day 9th August

the alumnis brought us to matrichie reservoir park, a place in singapore where you can finaly see trees and no buildings. jungle trekking, basically trekking up the hill to the tree top! it was different. then after the 4 hour plus walking up and down the tree top, we had lunch, crispy prata was the main dish. and milo dinosaur too. went back to rest and shower. and at nite, the alumnis made a steamboat dinner for my support group in one of their house, thus, experiencing home cooked food in a homey environment while watching movie Just Follow Law besides celebrating Singapores National Day.

end of week 3

this week is the third week of my uni. and it has come to an end, besides tomorrows english class. wat can i say??? there has been ups and downs thruout this 3 weeks.

my course is sure a hell lot of fun...i mean i like wat i am studying. physiology, anatomy, and also its practical where we get to see cadevers and actually examine wats actually in our body.

theres healthcare ethics and law with professional issues and practices, probably one of the wu liao subjects cos, you wont know wat you are actually studying. as the title says, it basically a very subjective modules and you will end up with more questions, unanswered after the class. but its interesting, cos it really makes us think outside the box, think differently on our perception of life.

and theres contemperary nursing, where this is by far the most important module of all cos this is the time where we learn out clinical skills, and also nursing theory skills and also problem solving. of course, clinical practicum, another module where its like an attachment at the end of each sem. in a dilemma with this now, cos the praticum clashes wth my sis wedding, praying realy hard that am off duty on her wedding day.

and those are my 6 modules that i was allocated this sem. and theres english where i think its just a waste of time, but oh well, taking it isnt a bad thing since it will be another module in your cert.

i enjoy all those modules....BUTTTTT the workload is crazy!!!. i mean rite now at this point of time, this weekend, i am just soo busy. basically i was busy all this while eversince uni starts, explains my lack of post except for the pix.

nursing is definitely hectic!!! i mean our schedule is crazy. 8-5 mon, 8-6 tues, 10-5 wed and 8-12 thurs. all one hour break only and fri i got 2 hour class. the workload is really really really crappy. for those who thinks that nursing students are slackers then you are wrong. and whoever thinks its pointless to have so much work for nursing, i dun have anything to say to you anymore, perhaps not even gonna talk to you. really, even medicine year 1 students are so free. so yea, week 1 and the lecturer starts pouring all their knowledge to us. and no time to relax.

been quite affected every week, facing challenges not on studies only, but also with the environment, with the ppl that you face that doesnt understand wat we nursing students are actually facing and worse of all, say things that just hurts your feelings. BUUTTT, i am soo gald to have a bunch of frens who truly understands too, and i guess thats where my strength lies now, those who supported me, and encouraging me.

alrite, i should start my work. i have my 30% final marks on my table now for pip. i have to research on cataract and euthanasia, also on thromboemboly for my physio presentation. these are the most important things i have to do. and dun think when i am finish i am done, can play and relax...no no, i have tonnes and tonnes of reading to do for the 2 wu liao subjects....case studies. and also practise clinical skills. wat worse, tom nite, i have a club meeting, sat afternoon a talk, sun morn, act and nite pot luck. so no time for this weekend. gotta start now..

oh ya, joined the astronomical soc, so can gaze at stars and just stoned looking at the sky. reminds me of damai this year where chris and i and the rest just stoned at the skies. and also biological science. wanna join rovers, voluntary action and dance blast....but looking at my schedule, i will be dead rite??? so saving it for next time.

till then,i apologize for not keeping in touch with anyone within these few weeks....
