of love bites and lack of sleep

thats wat i got after the damai trip....lotsa mosquitoe bites and sleep deprived.
but of course, thats not just it....the fun, relaxation that we had during the one nite stay was worth it. this time, the trip was a lil dif.

we din take any ppl shots except one but many scenary shots.
we din bring much junk food up, so we bought up there, but end up not eating much, so we brought home with more junk food instead.
it was soooo NOT hot, unlike the last time we went, din get tanned. in fact, we felt rather cold due to the rain and wind.
plus, 5 of us, and 7 dishes for dinner....all clean!

fri morning, chang mei, chris, sandra, bernie and i met at mcd third mile. only cm, bern and i had breakfast. heading off after that, we had some moments of laughter in bernies car. one was of cos, me, who needed the toilet kinda urgently. another was the jokes that we all made and the bumpy rides to damai was very fun for us three sitting at the back.

after checking in to our superior room by the poolside, we relaxed in the room. the weather was sooo perfect, not sunny but cloudy and windy. then, we played the pathetic mini golf where, half way thru, it started to rain.
(A)the pathetic mini golf, where the platform itself isnt flat
(B)the rainy view of damai and the kids village view from our room

back to the room we went and played uno and cluedo. after a few rounds, when the rain starts to stop, we went out to the kids village. went up to the tree house, played the rope thing, which we all are like so sakai/suku/gundu/jakun never play before, but the fact was we did play last time in lodge playground. then just as we wanted to climb the monkey bar, the rain starts to fall again......back to the room we went, waited for the rain to stop.

our flip-flops, shot inside the tree house and the 4 suku ppl, who never play the rope thing
the beach called. it was about 4 or 5 at that time with a lil drizzle. and as usual, the four of them were out at the sea, playing with the waves while me walking around the beach, yet another perfect calm and peaceful moment. i joined them later as they were about to leave. down the swimming pool they went until the guard shooed us of the pool for not wearing swimming attire. since we all had to take turns to use the washroom, bernie and sandra went first. while chang mei, chris and i enjoyed ourselves again at the kids village, just right behind our room. managed to climb up the moneky bar and boy, climbing and sitting on top of the monkey bar, gazing at the blue sky was yet another wonderful moment.. and the one of the two reason i came to damai was to see the sunset. of course, there was no sunset to be seen as it was cloudy. but eventhough there was no sun to see at the horizon, theres still part of the bright orange sun thats still worth watching. i dun wanna miss another chance of enjoying the sunset moment AGAIN, after '05 st john camp permai trip

starving our way thru to buntal for dinner, it sure was quite a long journey. went to makan seafood at lim hock ann restaurant, where most of us always went. 5 ppl, 7 dishes and we finished it all. had fried rice, small kailan, butter prawn, fried calamari, thai style chix, o chien and black pepper crab. the crab was 1.1kg and only chris, cm and i ate it. it was definitely filling, and the food were delicious too. food pix coming soon, wait till sandra sends it to me

back at the hotel, we lingered around on the bed before heading to the bar. there, we played bluff and it was my first time i think. bern and chris drank till their faces were soooo hot, enough to cool my cold hands. i din drink cos i felt bloated and i regretted later for not joining them. there were soooo many stars in the sky when we left for dinner, but by then, they all disapperared. sitting at the beachside, just listening to the sound of the waves was just very calming, i just loved it. as mosquitoes were shooing us away plus the cold brezze played more cluedo instead of zzzz. when it was time to sleep, it was nearly 4am, a time where some of us tot of waking up to have a stroll on the beach.

anyone who knows me know i am a light sleeper. so at 4am i think, sandra went out first. my alarm was set at 5am, and just as i was having a good sleep, my alarm rang. 5am, it was still pitch black so i tot of going at 6am. but chris alram was snoozing every 10 mins, oh wait, no, correction, 9 mins he claimed, so in the end, din get much decent sleep. when i went to the beach, meeting up with sandra, it was just perfect. the sky was soooo clear. yet part of them were filled with clouds. all kinds of blue were protrayed at the sky. it was cool and windy. just sooo refreshing. the power of nature, was just amazing. sandra was filiming and was just walking....then chris came. as it was about 7, sandra went back, claimed shes a vampire, allergic to the sun. funny her. and as for bernie and chang mei, well, they are both busy counting sheeps, sleeping in their dreams.

as the sun was almost up, where shadows of elongated us shown on the sand, we went back to our pitch black room. trying to get some sleep, it was almost impossible as the corridors of the rooms, were kinda noisy, the cleaners. dozed off a lil while me, until 1030am, where everyone is almost up. remembered bernie suddenly asking wat times the breakfast. missed it of course. all of us, ALL, were still lazy to get up. you know, the kind of feeling where we are in bed, not wanting to rise but just lay on the bed and relax.

as we checked out before 12pm, we head back to town. choosing a place to makan, guess where did we had lunch,....JADE POT....better than nothing. it was along the way. i was exhausted, not sleeping the whole nite, not to mention, previous nites too cos of the dumb dumb post office late in sending my letter. tot of sleepin on the ride home, somemore bernie had two cushions, but of cos, cant, very bumpy but indeed fun ride!! like wat chris said to me, no way you can sleep in the car.

lunch at jade pot, tats when my love bites showed its true colour. went to church in the evening, and there i stumbled again, bruising my right leg. i guess i had the aftereffect of sleep deprived, as claimed by chang mei and chris. cos at nite, around 10pm, meet up again with bernie, chris and chang mei plus edine and dn, i stumbled yet another time at bings. as bings was full, we went to living room, a place which has cushions and pillows, and it sure does make me wanna sleep. by the time i got back home that nite, i din leep striaght away, but watch a movie before it was sweet dreams at 2.30am

thinking i could wake up late on sunday morning, it was certainly in my dreams, as i had to follow my parents to visit a fren of ours. as it was fathers day and my dad, who was feeling rather syok sendiri, wanted to have dinner. i was like wat??? cos it was never, and i say never, for us to go out makan on the special day itself. which was why, last week, i celebrated fathers day dinner already. but oh well, it was his nite, so you guessed it, my noon nap was gone.

theres always a monday morning that i can get up late but i guess that was reserved for my medical chech up which took hours at kpj. thank goodness, chang mei was there too. and at noon, i had class. tot of skipping it since, i memang am not gonna finish the course and ppl was like, NOOO, sherly you cannot and dun skip class. now, you see the other side of me. and finally, last nite, baru i had a good decent sleep till this morning. had to send my letter back to nus.

thinking i already had my share of piggy piggy????... of course not, still wan my sleep and my legs are still itching their ways cos of the love bites i got. i mean i cant blame anyone for it....spending almost half the time at the beach, love bites is the present i had from damai. i probably cant wear any shorts or skirts for a week or two. lets just hope there arent gonna be any scars cos i am sure gonna cry for that.

meanwhile, still have loads to settle...forms, applications and all before everyone starts coming back next week
